The matching mechanism is easy in theory, but complicated in real life. In an easy approach, with PPC campaigns we are targeting those, who actively search or browse in a given subject. Matching in search is based on the query the user types into a search engine. But PPC marketing is now goes far beyond search, it is more like relevancy advertising. Since anyone who is interested in a certain subjest is NOT simply searching ONLY, but more, browsing in a subject, let it be purchasing a car, or trying to find a service. There is one more important characteritic of PPC, it is the pricing method. Pricing is based on clicks (so we pay only for actual visit, not ad appearance), and it is a bidding process every time a search query is served from a Search Engine’s server. Also, it is variable in pricing when an ad view and click happens in a website. Today, PPC advertising is the most targeted, most cost-effective, result oriented, and real-time advertising opportunity.
